Fix macOS Notarization Stall
Budget: £10 – £15 GBP
My Sparkle-distributed macOS app is fully built and signed, yet every submission to Apple’s notary service hangs at “In progress.” I’m targeting macOS Sequoia and currently using notarytool & Xcode. Entitlements and the signing identity have only been partially verified, so I need a sharp set of eyes to spot whatever flag, bundle-ID mismatch, or certificate issue is blocking the ticket.
What I need from you:
• Identify the exact cause of the stalled notarization—whether it’s a notarytool or altool argument, an entitlement, a provisioning profile, or a signing identity problem.
• Show me the minimal, repeatable steps to get the build notarized, stapled, and ready for Sparkle delivery.
• Supply any one-liner terminal commands or precise Xcode Organizer settings you adjust so I can run them myself next time.
• A brief screen-share, annotated shell session, or concise write-up is fine; no full rebuild required.
If you speak the language of codesign, notarytool, and Sparkle, this should be a quick turnaround.
