Riva Digital Revived
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
Riva Digital Blood Pressure was a proof of concept app developed for blood pressure measurement using the smart phone camera as recording device for a ppg signal which was then sent to a backend for processing with blood pressure values being returned and charted. The app included many additional functionalities and was taken to a fully productive stage with integration of apple health etc. The app was deployed in the Apple App Store as well as with Google Play and downloaded more than 30k times.
The project itself was ended last year and the rights owner of the backend algorithm cut ties leaving the app dysfunctional.
The app in it’s structure is still a very valid proof of concept & integration it would be great to have an iOS version displaying the complete functionality while just simulating the backend. The way the app is currently built it cannot be launched since the initial step requires login to the no longer available backend.
The complete sources for the app that was done in a Xamarin environment are available. The goal is to have a functional demo of the app for future reference and possibly picking up a way of analyzing the recorded ppg signal within the device in the future, the latter part currently not being a requirement for the project.
