Quran Teaching App

The app should provide Quran students the opportunity to find teachers and learn different topics with them. The student should be recommended with teachers who are speaking the same language and/or from the same country. Teachers should be able to select their teaching topics and go “online” for the students and later go “offline” again to not be bothered anymore. A student who sees a teacher online can call him at any time with a calling functionality like e.g., in WhatsApp video calls. Male students should also get male teachers and female student should only receive female teachers.
Currently the VOIP is implemented so the student can call the teacher only when the teacher has the app open. The goal is that the student can call the teacher at any time (given the teacher is set to “online”), even when the app is not open.
The backend is implemented with ASP .NET core and the frontend (iOS and Android) is implemented with Xamarin.
