Write Clerical Hospital Guidebook

Job ID: 40523868

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

I’m commissioning a full-length, how-to textbook that teaches aspiring clerical professionals how to excel inside a large neonatal and maternal hospital. The manuscript must read as a comprehensive guide rather than a light overview, with special emphasis on professional development—career pathways, credential planning, soft-skill refinement, and ethical growth unique to a perinatal care environment.

My ideal author has first-hand experience in hospital administration or a comparable civil-service setting devoted to neonatal and maternal health, yet is no longer employed by (or under contract to) any civil-service entity. Your past exposure will let you weave real-world context into policies, workflows, and best practices without breaching current institutional obligations.

Project scope
• Depth: Step-by-step coverage of daily clerical workflows, record-keeping standards, maternal-infant privacy regulations (HIPAA), and collaboration protocols with nurses, midwives, and social workers.
• Focus: The neonatal & maternal hospital setting; references to daycare centers or government associations appear only when they enhance context.
• Voice: Clear, encouraging, and suitable for entry- to mid-level staff; avoids medical jargon unless it directly impacts clerical duties.
• Format: Word or Google Docs, 11-12 pt body text, APA-style citations where relevant. Graphics, templates, and checklists should be embedded or supplied as separate, editable files.

Deliverables
1. Detailed table of contents and chapter synopsis for approval
2. 1st draft (approximately 60–70k words) with internal headings and call-out boxes for key practices
3. Revised manuscript after my developmental feedback
4. Proof-ready file with final copy-edits plus a separate bank of forms/sample documents

Acceptance criteria
• Factual accuracy aligned with current neonatal/maternal clerical standards
• Clear guidance on professional advancement paths within hospital administration
• Original work passing plagiarism screening and sensitivity review for patient confidentiality

If you’re passionate about elevating clerical practice in perinatal care and can deliver a polished, instructional text on schedule, I’d love to read your brief proposal and see a relevant writing sample or two.
