Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I’ve completed a memoir of roughly 107,000 words and now need a fresh, professional eye to elevate it for publication. My priorities are clear:
• Comprehensive grammar and punctuation check
• Structural editing that strengthens narrative flow, pacing, and chapter transitions
• Light copy-editing to polish word choice and clarity where needed
The book is intended mainly for family and friends, so the tone must remain personal and authentic while still reading smoothly. I have no strict style guide in place; consistency, readability, and a natural voice matter most.
Here’s what I’d like back:
1. A tracked-changes version of the manuscript showing every edit.
2. A clean final file ready for formatting or direct upload.
3. A brief editorial summary (1-2 pages) outlining big-picture suggestions and any recurring issues you noticed.
Experience with memoirs—or other long-form narrative nonfiction—is a plus, as is comfort working in Word with Track Changes.
