Beta Read 200k-Word Thriller Manuscript
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My political-thriller manuscript weighs in at roughly 200,000 words and is ready for a meticulous beta read. I need a sharp eye to handle three intertwined tasks:
• Proofreading – correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar directly in the file (Word with Track Changes or Google Docs suggestions).
• Plausibility & plot-hole detection – flag anything that strains believability, contradicts earlier facts, or leaves unanswered questions within the political landscape I’ve built.
• Pacing and structure feedback – pinpoint sluggish chapters, rushed revelations, or scenes that need repositioning to keep tension high.
Alongside your inline edits, I’d like a concise report summarizing major issues you noticed and any overarching recommendations for tightening the story flow. If references to comparable thrillers or craft resources strengthen your explanation, include them.
Deliverables will be accepted when:
1. The manuscript returns clean of mechanical errors you could reasonably catch.
2. All plausibility concerns and structural notes are clearly annotated or compiled in the report.
3. Your feedback remains constructive and specific enough for me to take decisive revision steps.
Please let me know your typical turnaround time for a project of this length and any prior experience with large-scale thriller manuscripts. I’m happy to answer questions or supply a short sample chapter before we begin.
