Creative Dialogue Writing Guidance
Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR
I’m polishing a fiction manuscript and I’ve hit a wall with the dialogue. The story itself feels strong, but each conversation on the page sounds either forced or flat. I’m looking for an experienced creative writer who can walk me through proven techniques for crafting engaging, believable exchanges between characters.
Here’s what I’d like from our collaboration:
• A close read of one or two sample scenes (around 2,000 words total) with margin notes that point out weak spots and missed opportunities in the dialogue.
• A short written summary explaining why certain lines work, why others don’t, and concrete ways to tighten pacing, subtext and tone.
• A live coaching session (video or voice) where we dissect my revised pages so I can internalize the principles and start applying them on my own.
You’re free to reference any tried-and-tested methods—beat sheets, character voice charts, or dialogue tags dos and don’ts—as long as the guidance is practical and tailored to my draft. Familiarity with Scrivener or Google Docs for commenting is a plus, but plain Word track-changes also works.
If you’ve helped other authors elevate their dialogue, share a brief example or testimonial when you bid. I’m ready to start this week and plan to revise quickly once I have targeted feedback.
