Windows Task and Time Tracker

I need a lightweight productivity tool that runs smoothly on Windows and focuses on two core functions: organising tasks and tracking the time I spend on them. The flow should be simple—create a task, start or pause a timer, then view a clear summary of the minutes or hours logged.

An intuitive desktop-native interface is important to me; I don’t want a web wrapper that feels sluggish. Offline use is fine, but the data must be stored in a place I can back up easily (a local SQLite file or similar is perfect). I’m open on the tech stack—.NET, WPF, Electron, or another modern Windows-friendly framework—as long as the final installer works on current Windows 10/11 machines without extra dependencies.

Deliverables:
• Installer-ready executable (.exe) with auto-update disabled
• Well-structured, buildable source code with brief setup instructions
• Basic user guide explaining how to add tasks, run timers, and export or clear data

I’ll test by installing the app, logging a day’s worth of work, and confirming that total time reports match the recorded sessions and that data persists after a restart.
