Wordpress website
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am a senior developer at Gradesmatch. Gradesmatch is a career guidance company in South Africa that works with high school students and helps them with their journey to university. We have two main websites which you could check out: www.gradesmatch.co.za and www.bridgeapp.co.za. They are both using angular, which is not SEO friendly.
In this project, we want to replace www.bridgeapp.co.za with a Wordpress website. The current angular app hosted in www.bridgeapp.co.za will be moved to a subdomain (app.bridgeapp.co.za). The new Wordpress website should have a clear way to redirect to the app.bridgeapp.co.za subdomain - by means of links like Register and Login.
Please note that the current angular app has several pages before a user logins, these are website content. Everything after the user logins is out of scope in this project.
I would want to create a temporal subdomain to host the wordpress during the development stages and give you the login details to the wordpress site.
Your tasks:
1. Replicate the current website using wordpress pages (not posts since these are not blog items). This only focuses on all pages before a person is logged in. You would have to go through the pages - just avoid logging in.
2. In one area (our prices/packages), the content comes from a server, this should continue to be the case. And in come more area (contact form), there is communication with our servers (not the same server as wordpress) in two ways: a. to search for a school, and b. To submit the form.
3. Video content not hosted on youtube will continue to be hosted in our servers (not the same server as wordpress) because it our users are able to use it with zero rated internet. This may include some images. But many images will be hosted within wordpress.
4. The reason for choosing wordpress is that we want to also post blog items. We would want the home page of hosting blogs to be at www.bridgeapp.co.za->about->blog and thus added to the menu appropriately, that is, just below "press" menu-item in the about menu. When a new blog post is created, this is where it would be hosted. The most ideal setup is that we should easily be able to add more pages to host blogs by categories, and in about menu, each category is listed as a menu-item.
5. For the blog posts template, please keep it clean by removing all other widgets.
6. The last part of your task is to help with migration from the subdomain to the main domain.
