Wordpress technical review -- 2
Budget: $25 – $50 AUD
Task:
I am looking for a Wordpress guru to complete a technical review of an existing site with recommendations for improvements to plugins, e-commerce config, security and stability and then implement the agreed recommendations.
Background:
I am the Marketing and Brand Specialist for the GJI Group of companies. Our group recently acquired a new business that included a Wordpress site.
I've had a poke around the Wordpress installation and discovered the following:
Plug-ins are a bit of a dog's breakfast with no updates, duplicate functionality and potential conflicts
The site has implemented components required for e-commerce such Woocommerce and Yith but tests on functionality returned some weird results suggesting poor planning, QA or maintenance.
No-one has been managing Wordpress meaning plugins are out of date, users no longer with the business still have access, the site hasn't been backed-up for 5 months etc
Anti-spam measures are inactive meaning enquiry channels are infested with spam raising questions about whether these channels are monitored and if anyone responds to the small number of legitimate enquiries buried in the spam avalanche
I'm no Wordpress expert and there are likely other issues I can't see.
As a group we operate a number of Wordpress sites and ideally would like to establish an ongoing relationship with a partner to optimise and maintain our presences.
