Wordpress site revamp (New theme, plugin cleanup, Woocommerce, Page Builder change)
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I've got a blog with around 85 articles and a small Woocommerce shop where I sell a couple of ebooks and teaching services. When I started a few years ago I had no clue about Wordpress or how to build a slim and fast website so I chose a bad theme, slapped a lot of plugins on it and added custom code (with yet another plugin) and probably did a lot of things wrong to the point that there are certain things that don't work properly anymore.
As I'm trying to finally take my blog to the next level, I would like to make some substantial changes, so I'm looking for an experienced Wordpress developer / web designer who can offer me an all-in-one solution and get my website to where I want it to be.
What I need:
• Migrate to Kadence theme
○ I want to move to Kadence because of its customisability with fewer plugins.
• Fix the online shop (Woocommerce)
○ Customers have problems downloading digital products.
○ Payments sometimes fail.
○ I want to be able to customise the look of my shop and the user experience.
○ Are there free (customisable) alternatives?
• Minimise plugin use
○ Perhaps the number of plugins can be reduced just by using a different theme.
○ Can other plugins be replaced by faster/lighter options or completely avoided?
• Switch from Elementor Pro to Gutenberg
○ Elementor seems to slow down my page quite a bit and Gutenberg can (more or less) do the same nowadays.
○ I want to transfer all my pages and posts to Gutenberg with the same information and page designs, if possible.
I want the new website to go live on September 1st, but if that is to early for all the changes I'm asking for, of course, I would be flexible with the date.
