Wordpress Website Fixes and Updates
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have an existing community wordpress / buddypress website with forums, blogs, and user sign-ups and user generated content that is in need of some updates and improvements. The following are the things that need to be done.
1. The speed of the site is terrible, especially on the wp-admin back end where it takes several minutes for posts and pages to load. The site search also takes several minutes, and when doing tasks like creating posts or opening multiple pages you get a 524 error. I need your help resolving this and some insight into how I can maintain the speed and function of the site over time.
2. When registering for a new account the process times out and you have to reload the page in order to see that the account was created.
3. Somehow bots are able to sign up for accounts that can’t be found in the user list on the wp-admin dashboard. They can still post to the site and can be found in the database. I need you to locate this security breach and close it.
4. We have a terrible problem with comment spam, can you implement anything to help prevent that?
5. Our disk space usage has suddenly surged. Can you help reduce that?
The website is live, so you will need to work from a copy on your server or a staging site and then implement that changes when they are stable so that the site does not crash.
