Wordpress Old Plugin Update or Create New One

In my woocommerce store I want to take some advance amount for Cash on delivery order and with some COD Charges for reducing COD Returns. I already have a plugin for that but now that plugin is abundant by its developer and plugin is now showing errors in WordPress. So anyone can help in updating that plugin or create new plugin like that.
