Wordpress - Error establishing a database connection

I am looking for a Wordpress expert who can help me resolve the "Error establishing a database connection" issue on my website. I am currently using Google Cloud as my hosting platform.
Problem:
- I am seeing the error message "Error establishing a database connection" when trying to access my website.
Background:
- I haven't made any recent changes to my website or database personally.
- However, I did notice that the wp-config.php file was replaced.
- The wp-config.php that is there right now does not have the database names or credentials.
- I have a backup of this file from December 2022, and I tried just to replace it, but it didn't work, I guess because WordPress was already upgraded and the format/syntax has changed. But the credentials should be good.
