WordPress website - Fix various errors
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
The website https://networkedab.com.au/ has been recently completed by a WordPress developer.
Website is hosted with Ventraip Australia
The website has undergone testing by few Testers/QA persons who have identified various types of errors.
The following issues and errors were discovered and all these need to be fixed:
1) Upgrade PHP from 8.2.30 to 8.2.31+
2) Install 6 missing HTTP Security Headers
3) Protect wp-login.php
4) Exposed Admin username: Fix it
5) Disable User Enumeration
6) Remove / Block readme.html
7) Fix Render-Blocking Resources
8) Remove Duplicate jQuery
9) Add meta description to Homepage - Let me know before you install Yoast /RankMath. I want to know about these 2 and decide.
10) Hide PHP Version Header
11) Disable External WP-Cron
12) Preload Hero Image (LCP)
13) Self-Host Google Fonts
14) Hide WordPress Version from RSS Feed
15) Manual Plugin Audit
16) HSTS not configured / weak - Add Strict-Transport-Security header with 1-year max-age
17) Missing COOP header - Add COOP: same-origin header; test with third-party widgets
18) Clickjacking protection missing - Add X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN header
19) Skip link not focusable - Ensure skip link is :focus-visible and not CSS-hidden
20) Add <main> Landmark Element - You can do as long as website design and structure doesn't get changed.
21) Verify & Delete Default Hello World Post + Default Pages
22) Remove Email Address from robots.txt
23) Install & Configure FluentSMTP
24) Verify whether Pantheon MU Plugins removed or not. If note, remove permanently
25) Disable Comments Site-Wide
26) Create security.txt File
27) Standardise jQuery to One Version
28) Verify Elementor is on Latest Version (4.0.9)
29) Verify PRO Elements is on Latest Version (4.0.4.2+)
30) Verify WordPress Core is on Latest Version
31) Put the 2 icons missing in homepage and the blue tick marks missing in homepage. These icons are in media library. We will talk about it later.
32) Any other errors and issues you encounter while working - Let me know before fixing.
33) Re-run Lighthouse & WPScan Audit
34) Deliver Excel Checklist Report - Enter list of all errors you have fixed. And if any of them not fixed, cite the reason why.
DO NOT FIX THE FOLLOWING:
1) Colour Contrast Failures: Design is final, no changes required
2) DOM Size Reduction: No need now. Website structure to remain as it is
3) Media Library Alt Texts: I have added alt texts and titles myself in WP media library
Tester/QA must not:
1) install any new plugins without permission from me;
2) delete any existing plugins without permission from me;
3) change the theme, design, colour, hero image, logos, spacing, font, or font size;
4) make any changes to the WordPress admin panel media library (alt texts, titles, images) without permission from me;
5) change the username, email address, or password currently used by me to login to WP admin panel.
At all times, the website must look 100% same as the ORIGINAL CONDITION videos shared with the Tester. These 3 videos have been attached with this project description.
If website gets modified in anyway, this agreement will become void and Tester shall receive no money for this project, unless Tester can restore the website back to its ORIGINAL CONDITION which is accepted by me.
NOTE: I am not a technical person and have no idea to find out whether the hired person (Project winner) has done the work properly or not. Hence, I might hire 1-2 additional applicants (security experts in freelancer.com) who would be paid to check the work of the project winner. This is just to ensure that all work has been done properly by the Project winner.
I might undergo a 2nd round of Testing.
Project winner will be provided login details to Ventraip cPanel.
Cost: Please provide quote for fixing all above errors.
Deadline: I am fine with 1 Jul 2026. But if you need more time, let me know.
