My WordPress site allows users to upload photos for user profile. When photos are uploaded, WordPress (or whatever) automatically converts photos from PNG to JPEG. This results in los of quality. There may also be resizing or compression or some reduction in quality.
Your task is to prevent these unnecessary automatic transformations on the avatars. The site has other image upload features. You don’t need to change those. You only need to change the avatar upload
