My WordPress site has been flagged for malware and needs a full, surgical cleanup. What I need now is a comprehensive sweep that eliminates every backdoor, rogue file, and injected script, followed by configuration changes that keep the site clean long-term.
After the cleanup, please add on the best security plugins and settings to lock things down for good. I’m open to solutions such as Wordfence, Sucuri, iThemes Security, or any combination you trust—as long as the plan is thorough and future-proof.
Deliverables
• Complete malware scan and removal (core, themes, uploads, and database)
• Core, theme, and plugin updates performed safely
• Hardening steps implemented (file permissions, .htaccess rules, wp-config tweaks, etc.)
• add on most effective security plugins and settings going forward
• Final verification showing the site passes scans on at least two external scanners (e.g., Google Safe Browsing and VirusTotal)
