Word Press / Buddy Press / Youzify - Setting up Membership Site
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
You will be working with Word Press, Buddy Press, and Youzify - You must have experience with these three (the WP CMS and two plugins). With these, you'll create a social media site similar to Facebook that can be expanded later. The site will include:
1 - Sign in page
2 - Register page
3 - User Dashboard
4 - Activity page
5 - Group page
6 - Private messaging page
7 - Profile edit
Currently, the site has WordPress installed with the following plugins:
BBPress
BuddyPress
Divi
Updater Plus
Wordfence Security
Youzify
You are to configure the site so when a user goes to it, they see two options - Login or Register. They will only be able to pick either of them. They will also see the recover password page, Terms of Service, Privacy, and codes of conduct (there are three that will be linked in the global footer of the site).
The main will be the main site menu and the secondary menu will be the user menu that includes the following items:
Main Menu will include
Home - Shows the info "What's New" - an activity site breakdown
Writing - This will be a space holder for future development
Authors - User list.
Groups - User groups
Forums - forums
Contest - This will be a space holder for future development
College - Links to the College page that lists all subpages that it is a parent of the page
Premium - Upgrade membership from free to paid
Profile (view/edit/change profile picture/change cover image)
Messages (inbox/starred/sent/compose/site notices)
Friends (Friendships/Pending Requests)
Invitations (Send Invites/Pending Invites)
Settings (Notifications/Export Data)
You will be responsible for setting up the website as indicated. Static pages mentioned will be added to the site.
Due to security, once picked, you will need to set up Google Authenticator to have access to the back end of the site. if needed, access to the hosting back-end can be set up as well.
