Woocommerce issue with user registration

I have a wordpress website that uses woocommerce to sell memberships (which require user registration) and conferences (which do not require registration). For some reason, the conference product cannot be purchased without registering. There is some code that makes the user registration section invisible but it still generates an error because the account name and password are required. I need a fix ASAP.
