WooCommerce Optimization and Upgrade for Skincare Brand

Job ID: 40572004

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

PROJECT TITLE

WooCommerce Performance Optimization + Maintenance + Ingredient Section UI + Delhivery Integration for Premium Skincare Brand

PROJECT OVERVIEW

We are LORE — a premium Indian skincare brand operating on WooCommerce at lorenatural.com, hosted on Hostinger with cPanel access.

This is a four-part, clearly scoped technical project. We are not looking for the lowest bidder. We are looking for a developer who understands WooCommerce at a professional level, communicates clearly, and takes ownership of the outcome.

The budget is fixed at ₹2,200. However, we are actively looking for a long-term technical partner for ongoing work including conversion optimization, UI improvements, SEO implementation, checkout enhancements, new feature development, and a monthly maintenance retainer. Developers who deliver quality on this project will be offered that relationship.

Our brand is premium. Design integrity is non-negotiable. Nothing should change visually unless it is a deliberate, approved improvement. The website must look exactly the same or better after every change.

Read the scope below carefully before bidding.

SCOPE OF WORK

Task 1 — Full Website Speed and Performance Audit and Optimization

Conduct a comprehensive performance audit of every page on lorenatural.com. This is not a surface-level scan. It is a deep audit with documented findings and implemented fixes.

Pages to audit include:
Homepage, all product pages, collection/shop pages, cart, checkout, My Account, blog and all blog posts, About, Contact, any landing pages, and any other pages currently live on the site.

What you must check and optimize:

Page speed and load time on both desktop and mobile. Core Web Vitals — LCP, FID, CLS — on all key pages. Google PageSpeed Insights score before and after. GTMetrix score before and after. Image optimization — compression, next-generation formats (WebP where appropriate), proper sizing, lazy loading. JavaScript and CSS optimization — minification, deferral, elimination of render-blocking resources where safe. Font optimization — preloading, subsetting where applicable. Caching configuration — server-side and plugin-level. WooCommerce-specific performance — cart fragments, AJAX calls, unnecessary scripts loaded on non-shop pages. Database optimization — post revisions, transients, orphaned data. Plugin audit — identification of plugins adding significant load with minimal functional value. Theme bloat — any unused scripts or stylesheets registered by the theme. Hostinger hosting compatibility — ensure all optimizations work within the hosting environment constraints.

You must document every bottleneck found, explain its impact, and confirm what was done to address it. Fixes that could affect functionality or design must be discussed with us before implementation.

Task 2 — Website Maintenance and Health Check

Perform a complete one-time professional maintenance pass.

Before touching anything: Create a full backup and confirm it is restorable. Do not proceed without a verified backup in place.

What maintenance includes:

Update WordPress core to the latest stable version. Update WooCommerce to the latest stable version. Update all active plugins. Update the theme if safe to do so — if any update carries compatibility risk, flag it before proceeding. Perform a database optimization pass. Run a security and malware scan. Verify SSL certificate validity and correct configuration. Check for broken links and 404 errors across the site. Confirm all WooCommerce payment gateways and shipping configurations remain functional after updates. Test the checkout flow end-to-end after all updates are applied.

Non-negotiable: No update should introduce any visual regression. If you cannot guarantee design integrity through an update, do not apply it without prior discussion. If anything breaks after an update, you are expected to restore the site from the backup you created and identify a safer path forward.

Task 3 — Ingredient Section Addition on Three Product Pages

Three product pages require a new Ingredients section. We will provide reference images showing the exact design and layout we want recreated.

What is required:

Build the ingredients section on all three product pages to match our reference images as closely as possible. The section must integrate naturally with the existing product page design — it should not look like an external element added on top. Each ingredient must have an interactive element: when a user hovers over the ingredient image on desktop, or taps it on mobile, the ingredient's benefits or description should appear in an elegant, smooth manner. The animation or transition should feel premium and intentional, not jarring or generic.

Technical requirements:

Fully responsive across all screen sizes. Mobile-optimized — the touch/tap interaction must work cleanly. Fast-loading — no heavy libraries added unnecessarily. Built using a method that will survive future WordPress, WooCommerce, theme, and plugin updates. This is critical. We have had sections disappear after updates before, and we will not accept a temporary implementation. Explain in your proposal how you intend to make this permanent.

No page builder shortcodes that tie the section to a plugin that could be deactivated. Custom code in the child theme or a site-specific plugin are acceptable approaches. Justify your chosen method.

Task 4 — Delhivery Shipping Integration

Integrate Delhivery with our WooCommerce store so that order fulfilment and shipment tracking function reliably for our customers.

What the integration must accomplish:

When an order is placed and fulfilled, shipment details should sync to Delhivery automatically or with minimal manual action. A tracking number should be generated and associated with the order. The customer should receive tracking information — either via WooCommerce's native order emails or through Delhivery's notification system. Customers should be able to track their shipment either through a link in their email or a tracking page on our site.

Expectations from the freelancer:

Recommend the best available integration method or plugin for our setup. If using a third-party plugin, it must be well-supported, actively maintained, and not introduce performance overhead. Provide documentation of how the integration works and what we need to do on the Delhivery account side to maintain it. Test at least one end-to-end order flow before marking this task complete.
