When I search my website on google, it appears chinese characters. Help!

Hello, I am looking to hire a freelancer to help me with an issue regarding my website. When I search my website on Google, all that appears is Chinese characters. I believe the issue relates to the hosting of the website, which is a shared server. I'm not sure if I have set the language and geo targeting metadata on the website, but I know that I have not submitted my XML sitemap to Google. I need someone skilled in server hosting and SEO to help me understand and solve the issue. Thanks for the input!
