Project Overview
I need an experienced web migration specialist to help consolidate and migrate my websites, domains, email, and eCommerce setup from multiple providers into one centralized platform that is easier to manage and more cost-effective.
Right now, my setup is spread across:
SiteGround for website hosting
GoDaddy for domain registration and DNS
Shopify for eCommerce
Possibly separate email services for custom email accounts
My goal is to move everything into one platform I can manage more easily, reduce monthly costs, and make sure nothing breaks during the process.
This project is very important to me because I do not have the technical expertise to do it safely on my own. I need someone who has done this before and can manage the migration carefully with minimal downtime and no loss of data, SEO, email, or store functionality.
Main Goal
Consolidate all websites, domains, DNS, email, and eCommerce into one manageable system, with a strong preference for:
Hostinger for hosting/domains/email
WordPress + WooCommerce replacing Shopify
Optional evaluation of Zoho Mail if better for email
I am open to recommendations if there is a better approach, but I want simplicity, control, and lower long-term costs.
Scope of Work
The freelancer should help with the following:
1. Audit Current Setup
Review and document my current environment, including:
All domains
All websites
Hosting accounts
Shopify store setup
DNS records
Email accounts
SSL certificates
Any third-party integrations
2. Create a Safe Migration Plan
Before moving anything, I want a clear migration plan that includes:
Order of operations
Backup plan
Rollback plan
Downtime prevention strategy
Testing checklist before and after cutover
3. Domain & DNS Consolidation
Assist with:
Reviewing domains currently at GoDaddy
Preparing domain transfers or DNS changes
Preserving all important DNS records
Avoiding email disruption during transfer
Making sure SSL and redirects continue working
4. Website Migration
Migrate website(s) from SiteGround to the new hosting environment while preserving:
Design/layout
Content/pages
SEO structure
URLs/permalinks
Forms
Contact functionality
Speed/performance
SSL
5. Shopify to WooCommerce Migration
Migrate my Shopify store to WooCommerce, including:
Products
Variants
Images
Categories
Customers
Orders/history if possible
Shipping settings
Tax settings if applicable
Payment gateway setup
Checkout testing
The new WooCommerce store should be functional, clean, and easy for me to manage.
6. Email Migration / Setup
Help move or set up custom email accounts so I do not lose access to current mail. This may include:
Recreating mailboxes
Migrating old emails where possible
Updating MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records
Making sure send/receive works properly
Minimizing disruption
7. Final Testing & Launch
Before anything is canceled, I need:
Full testing on websites
Full checkout test on store
Email send/receive test
DNS verification
SSL verification
Redirect verification
Mobile responsiveness check
Basic speed/performance check
8. Documentation / Handover
At the end, I want simple documentation showing:
Where everything is hosted
How to log in and manage it
What was changed
Important DNS/email settings
Any ongoing maintenance needed
Key Requirements
I need someone who:
