WEB SERVER HOSTING

I am having an exam portal site and a wordpress website interface, the exam portal is portal.example.com and the wordpress website is on the main domain example.com. I want both to be hosted on same webserver, different rootdirectory. such that, the portal is on a subdomain, and wordpress will be on the main domain.
