Vultr to Synology Migration
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
Our current website infrastructure
We currently have a cloud server on Vultr which is running the following services:
• Three simple WordPress websites
• Sendy email tool (linked with an SMTP platform)
• DNS services (for emails, verification, DMARC etc)
• CWP Pro Web panel (for managing the PHP updates, MySQL updates for the websites, etc)
The server is hosted on CentOS and CWP Pro. The WordPress website has the following important plugins:
1) Wordfence free (for security and protection)
2) Updraft Plus (for website backups)
3) Nitropack-free (for optimising speed)
4) Bunny CDN (for optimising speed)
5) Tawk (for live chat widget in the website)
6) WP Mail (for the Website contact forms to work correctly)
7) Quad addon, KingComposer, KC Pro (for ensuring the website displays correctly)
8) Really Simple SSL (for SSL certificate)
Task
I want to migrate the entire cloud server to our new Synology DS1823xs+ NAS. The critical requirement is that all the services work perfectly as they are now. Some things might not be required, or alternatives can be explored for points 1, 2, 3, 6 and 8, as some of these are handled natively by Synology. For Sendy, it can be a completely fresh installation. We can optimise the websites and make them as lightweight as possible.
Testing
Once the migration is done, I want to conduct a full test of the following:
• How do the websites look on all machines and screen sizes
• All contact forms
• The chat widget
• Sendy
• Website score in benchmark websites
Any issues found in the test process will need to be sorted
Proposal
Ideally, we need a freelancer who is a Synology expert with good expertise in working with WordPress websites and CWP web panels. The proposal should contain the following:
• Price
• Schedule in working days (split into the task section, testing section, final issues sorting and finalisation)
• How much downtime will be needed for the Vultr Cloud server
• What will needed from me exactly to perform all of the above? I will need a detailed document with the list to provide it before starting.
Other than the above there might be 2 more simple 1 page websites which will need to be created and hosted in Synology
