Transfer Development Website from Subdomain to Root Domain

I have created personal Wordpress portfolio website on a subdomain, and it is now ready to be moved to the root domain (overwriting the current root domain website). Although I have good front-end knowledge, the back-end is not so well known for me so I am looking for someone who can help me do this.
