Site is very slow, Ive worked through this over recent weeks, mainly noticeable when working in admin.
Ive created a copy of the site and deactivated plugins one by one and changed the theme, this didnt really pin point the issue. After everything was disabled yes it ran much faster but I didnt find any obvious cause.
The hosting company have looked at the server and they say everything is ok. Its has plenty of ram etc and only has one main website on it. This all started happening about 2 months ago, before that it was all fine, same plugins etc, there were no recent changes that caused this.
Im using a caching plugin that helps the pages to load reasonably quickly but backend is really annoying, also selecting options on a product shows the speed issues as well as they are not cached.
Site is on a dedicated server so I have WHM and Cpanel access.
I need someone who has experience in this area, not someone who will only be able to point the finger at plugins and say they are the problem.
