Optimize WordPress Template
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Hey Freelancers!
I'm in the process of migrating to a new WordPress theme, and though I found one that I love the look and functionality of, it performs horribly in Google Page Insights, which I'd like your help with.
That is, desktop ranks at an 82, which isn't bad but not great, and mobile ranks at a 30, which is horrible.
Namely, the main suggestions the tool provides are...
1) Eliminate render-blocking resources (about 8 .js files are specified)
2) Reduce unused javascript (4 .js files are specified)
3) Defer offscreen images (even though I already have a lazy-load plugin activated and configured)
And then in the diagnostic section, one of the main items it specifies are...
1) Minimize main-thread work (4.6s, with most of it being script evaluation)
I've already tried tweaking both WP Optimize and Asset CleanUp plugins, and I've got a CDN enabled. But 30 & 82 is the best I've been able to get it.
Unless it's absolutely necessary (which we can discuss if it comes down to that), it's important for all code changes to be done in the child theme that I'm working with.
Anyway, I think that about sums it up. As always, so that I know you actually read this project description, please use my name (Tim) in your bid.
Thank you kindly, and I look forward to working with you.
