Need a consultation for a problem with bringing old site up temporarily godaddy

This is a project to five us advice and not actually do it. we would put that under a different project.
We built a new site for client. the documentation as to how to link productions was not done. now we are faced with taking the new site down overnight and putting the old one back up so we can see how woo commerce and products worked under the old site.
I want to hire someone to tell us if there is a different way to do this effectively. for example, can we upload old site files to a subdomain or will all those file names have to change to point correctly?
