Currently the customer is directed to the inventory page where they choose the date they want to pick up the sod. Then, they select either single rolls (10 square feet) or pallets (600 square feet) to total the number of square feet they want. For example, if they want 1,400 square feet, they would order two pallets (1200 square feet), plus 20 single rolls (200 square feet). This is confusing for first-time visitors and homeowners.
Revision: Ideally, the customer would see a simple pull down menu where they select the pick up date and enter the square feet they need (10’ foot increments). The form would then calculate the subtotal (total square feet ordered X per square foot price), it would calculate the tax and generate a total. The last column would display the remaining inventory (by square feet) for that day.
