Marketplace Website Creation
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
Project Purpose:
Develop a professional and user-friendly website designed to seamlessly connect vendors and customers within our specific industry. The platform will offer a tiered subscription system for vendors, allowing them to list products with detailed specifications, while customers can easily search and locate products or services and request competitive bids. The website must be developed using WordPress, JetEngine, and Elementor, keeping in mind potential future expansion into a mobile application based on this infrastructure.
Key Functionalities:
General Requirements:
The website should have a professional and modern appearance with distinct interfaces for vendors and customers. All content and data management must be accessible to users exclusively through the front-end, preventing direct backend access. The website must support login via popular platforms such as Google and Apple, and should be fully optimized for search engines (SEO).
Vendor Capabilities:
Vendors should have the ability to list and manage their products with detailed specifications including quantity, customizable industry-specific attributes, comprehensive descriptions, and global warehouse locations with specific addresses hidden from customers. Vendors should also provide images or galleries for each product, pricing per unit, timestamps for the latest updates, and the option to mark prices as negotiable. Vendors must display direct contact information for immediate inquiries and support multiple users under a single subscription account. Additionally, vendors should be able to create comprehensive business profiles including contact information, company location, social media accounts, and individual user profiles within the business.
Customer Capabilities:
Customers should be able to post requests for products or services with detailed descriptions, requirements, and contact information, inviting bids from vendors and other customers. Users should have the capability to submit proposals and bids and close their listings once resolved. The website must offer robust search functionality, allowing customers to find products easily through keywords, descriptions, and advanced filters (such as location, cost, attributes, and quantity). Customers should be able to bookmark favorite products or manufacturers, receive notifications for new listings, use integrated contact forms connected directly to vendor emails, flag inaccurate product information, review and rate vendors/products, and share listings via various platforms including text, social media, and email.
Integrator Capabilities (New User Category):
Integrators are users who resell products. They should have the capability to post job listings and submit bids on job listings posted by customers.
Subscription Model for Vendors:
There will be three subscription levels for vendors: a Free Subscription that allows basic product listings with limited customer contacts, a Tier 1 Subscription offering detailed product listings, direct contact information, customer requirement notifications, and additional user support, and a Tier 2 Subscription providing priority product placement, enhanced listings, customer requirement notifications, and expanded user support. Subscription payments can be monthly, annual, or lifetime, processed securely via credit card using common recurring payment plugins available in WordPress. Apple Pay capabilities are considered advantageous. Administrators should also have the capability to create and distribute promotional coupon codes.
Sponsored Listings:
Vendors can enhance visibility by purchasing "Sponsored Product" placements, and customers can similarly purchase "Sponsored Request" placements to attract more competitive bids.
Technical and Expansion Features:
The website should be built on a scalable architecture for future expansions. It should maintain comprehensive logs of product listing updates, user login/logout activities, customer communications, product/service request postings and responses, and detailed statistical tracking of views and interactions with individual listings.
Pricing for Project Creation:
The project budget is negotiable. Freelancers are encouraged to submit competitive offers based on their expertise. We will provide the domain and WordPress environment. Developers are invited to propose necessary plugins, while the costs for these plugins will be covered by us. Only development costs need to be included in the bids.
