Linking stock on hand for SKUs across 2 websites

So we have a wordpress e-commerce store retailing jewellery that is essentially drop shipped from a wholesale store that is managed by other members of the family.
Our SKU's are the same and their website is also built on wordpress. We are looking for someone to assist us in finding a way to search their stock on hand for each of their SKU's that we sell and update our stock on hand automatically, perhaps a script that runs once every 12 hours? (i.e. avoiding our customers purchasing something that is not in stock on the wholesale side)
