Large Venue search criteria

I have a WP site largelondonvenues.co.uk and want to display the search criteria for venues a bit differently from what the existing theme will let me do. At the moment if someone searches it brings up all the vennues that match. I am looking to only display say 3 of them and ask the user for more data before I show them all of the venues that match the criteria.
