Jquery get json data from url

I need the attached jquery get json data from url example to be turned into a simple WordPress Plugin that will work with caching (PHP and CSS caching only - No JavaScript caching). We have various websites with different streams so the stream will have to be able to be updated in the plugin setting and allow for tags withing any page to show the song and artist individually for easy placement in a design. Code must be solid and secure!
