Improve speed of Avada website to under 2.5 seconds

Our site is multisite Wordpress and is running Avada theme. GTMetrix and Page Insights show fast load time but real-world speed remains at 7+ seconds.
Need expert in tuning Wordpress who is comfortable on VPS served Wordpress instance. CPanel access not available on this server. MySQL access and file manager access will be provided.
