Help with Wordpress sitemap .xml file for google

We need someone to craft a xml sitemap for our website running on Google as we've noticed in Google search console that its picked up like 30 pages which are not able to index and these look mainly to be tag pages which we do not need it to index.
We would like it to index homepage

Articles pages in our blog section
That is all.
We have used an automated xml sitemap generator and it detects like the tag pages which do not help our index. Maybe you could suggest a plugin that we can select what we want to be generated which excludes this.
