Help Complete WordPress GeneratePress Sports Website

We are seeking an experienced WordPress developer to complete and prepare a sports media website for launch.

The website already exists and contains substantial content. The project is not building a new website from scratch. The objective is to complete the website, optimize it, and prepare it for production using GeneratePress and the native WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg).

The selected freelancer will be responsible for rebuilding layouts where necessary, improving performance, integrating advertising, optimizing the website for desktop and mobile devices, and ensuring the site is fully production-ready.

Scope of Work
The successful freelancer will:

Complete the GeneratePress implementation.
Review and improve all page layouts.
Ensure consistent design throughout the website.
Optimize desktop, tablet, and mobile responsiveness.
Integrate Ezoic display and video advertising.
Configure advertising placements for optimal user experience.
Optimize page speed and overall website performance.
Configure SEO settings.
Publish legal pages supplied by the client.
Configure redirects and canonical URLs.
Review navigation and internal linking.
Perform comprehensive quality assurance testing.
Prepare the website for public launch.
A detailed Project Scope & Completion Checklist will be provided to shortlisted candidates before final pricing.

Deliverables
The completed website must be:

Production-ready
Mobile responsive
Fast loading
SEO-friendly
Secure
Compatible with current WordPress standards
Fully tested before launch
Documentation of all plugins, configuration changes, custom code, and advertising integration must be provided upon completion.
The website must be completed and fully tested before the scheduled launch date.

Must be native or fluent in English. Freelancer with basic knowledge of professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada will be given preference as well as being able to provide of any samples of Generate Press websites and Ezoic integrations.

We are looking for a long-term partner and anticipate paying a monthly retainer going forward to help maintain and edit site upon launch.
