Get feature working in WP site.

I have a WordPress build, looking to get a bit of jQuery working with it. I just need to code to work, hopefully it should be simple.
It's some JS jQuery, CSS work, based on a site, using a snippet from Fiddle.
The idea is to have the text overlay on an image fade in when in teh centre of the viewport, and fade out as it leaves. So modifying the opacity on scroll.
