Fix 500 Internal Server Error on Personal Wordpress Blog hosted on LAMP

Looking for assistance recovering/restoring Wordpress blog into working order. Currently the site is giving a 500 internal server error. Could easily be due to PHP version being upgraded by host over time. Site is full of posts with pictures and video's we'd like to recover. Access to site was password protected prior to the site not working. Site: http://www.dayfam.com/melsblog/ Wordpress Admin: http://www.dayfam.com/melsblog/wp-admin both giving error. SSH and MySQL access will be provided.
