Customize Wordpress Woodmart Category Page
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
We are using Woodmart theme on our website. We have different category pages (such as ladies electric bike, fat tyre electric bike, etc.). In each category page, we are only showing relevant products. On product, can be shown in two different category pages. The limitation we have is each product in different category pages will have the same image and short description, etc. however, we want to be able to present the same product differently in different category pages. Here are our requirements
1- Please refer to the attached image. We want to be able to use different product image, short description for each product in different category pages. Also we want the woodmart theme to be customized so the product list looks similar to the attached photo (product photo on the left, product name, description, icons on the right)
2- The changes should be made on woodmart category page template in such as way that woodmart category page functionality remains the same (such as filtering of products, sorting etc.).
3- We should be able to upgrade woodmart theme to new versions without losing the customization done.
4- Here is how we think this customization should be implemented:
On each product admin page, using ACF, we should be able to define 3 selling points. For each selling point we should be able to choose an icon, title and description. These 3 icons will be shown under the product short description section as shown in the attached image.
At the product level, we should be able to add a repetitive category page section. For each category page, we can select the followings
- The category page id
- The product photo (this photo will be shown in that category). If no photo is selected, original product photo will be shown.
- The product short description: if no description is provided, original product short description will be used for this category page.
- The product priority (this defines the sorting priority of the product in that category page).
