Create a JQuery function to replace text - WordPress site implemention

Greetings, I need to have the following function created. Included is the way I thought of Doing it in a Wordpress site that I manage
Replace the text of a given word wrapped in replaceText class.
Jquery will change the text when hovering over the word in the same position across all device sizes for desktop only (media query implementation)
The word on mobile devices and tablets are in English and unaltered
On desktop the word is in Hawaiian characters. When hovering the words change to English
Utilize replaceText class to trigger a jquery function that changes the text to English when hovering with mouse.
Let me know if this is something you can do. I will test it in Wordpress and when we have a solution that works we will complete the job. Turnaround time needs to be 2 weeks.
I have code that I'm happy to share that I can pass on to you if nothing else than for ideas for how you would carry this feature out.
