Project Summary
I have a complete website design exported from Claude Design (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, components, fonts, page structure).
I need this converted into a functional WordPress theme (or child theme), installable and fully editable in WordPress + Elementor, with correct technical structure, organized code, and no unnecessary external dependencies.
This is a WordPress development project, not a design project.
What This Is NOT
• Not "create a site in Elementor from scratch".
• Not "clone site A to site B using Elementor".
• Not simply dropping HTML files into a theme without real WordPress + Elementor integration.
Technical Goal
Deliver:
• Installable WordPress theme or child theme (.zip);
• Compatible with Elementor (and Elementor Pro where applicable);
• Preserves visual direction, responsiveness, and behaviour of the original design;
• Content fully editable in WordPress/Elementor without touching code.
The freelancer must reorganize/adapt HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and components for compatibility, stability, performance, and editability.
Working Conditions
• No access to my WordPress, hosting, domain, or dev server will be provided.
• All development and testing must be done in the freelancer's local environment.
• I will install the delivered package on my own WordPress for validation.
Mandatory Requirements to Apply
Your proposal must include:
1. Links to 2–3 past projects where you:
o Converted HTML/Figma/PSD to a custom WordPress theme or child theme;
o Integrated Elementor with a WordPress theme (not just "built layouts in Elementor").
2. Brief explanation (3–6 lines) of:
o How you would approach converting this package;
o Which parts likely need rewriting/adaptation for WordPress + Elementor.
3. Proposed structure:
o Custom root theme or child theme (e.g., Hello Elementor) and why;
o How you would organize CSS, JavaScript, templates, and assets.
Proposals without concrete "HTML to WordPress" / "custom theme development" / "Elementor + theme integration" examples will be ignored.
Main Deliverables
• Installable WordPress theme (.zip);
• Child theme, if applicable (clarify base theme);
• Structure ready for Elementor (and Elementor Pro where needed);
• All main pages included and displaying correctly after installation;
• Header, footer, menus, global styles, and reusable components configured;
• Layouts integrated with Elementor where technically appropriate;
• Texts, images, buttons, sections, and content editable in WordPress/Elementor;
• Organized CSS/JS, no unnecessary external dependencies;
• All images, icons, fonts, and assets included, or clear notes on external resources requiring license/activation;
• Elementor template import file, when applicable;
• Demo content, if needed to reproduce pages correctly;
• List of required and recommended plugins, with function of each;
• Step-by-step installation instructions;
• Clear post-installation configuration instructions;
• Brief documentation:
o Theme architecture;
o Pages included;
o Elementor templates used;
o Editable areas;
o Points requiring care in future maintenance;
• Complete source code and all custom files created;
• Bug fixes reported during testing after client installation.
Technical Acceptance Criteria
The final package will be accepted only when it:
• Installs on a clean WordPress without critical errors;
• Works with specified versions of WordPress, Elementor, and Elementor Pro;
• Faithfully reproduces the original design (visual, structure, responsiveness);
• Displays all pages correctly on desktop, tablet, and mobile;
• Does not rely on iframes or external HTML pages;
• Does not require direct PHP/CSS/JS editing for normal content operations;
• Allows editing of key elements via WordPress/Elementor;
• Generates no critical PHP/JS errors or visible conflicts with Elementor;
• Includes sufficient instructions for installation and future use.
Project Phases, Deliverables, and Payment Conditions
Payment is split into 3 phases. Each phase payment is released only after validation of the corresponding deliverables.
Phase 1 – Technical Analysis + Execution Plan
Deliverables:
1. Analysis report of the provided package:
o Current structure;
o Points of concern (scripts, components, fonts, external resources, etc.);
o Parts likely needing rewrite/adaptation.
2. Execution plan:
o Proposed theme structure (folders, templates, assets);
o Decision: custom root theme or child theme (with reasoning);
o List of planned plugins (required and recommended);
o Strategy to make each element type editable in WordPress/Elementor (header, footer, pages, repeated sections, etc.);
o Time estimate for each phase.
Payment condition:
Phase 1 payment released only when:
• Report and plan are clear, coherent, and demonstrate real understanding;
• Freelancer shows:
o Knowledge of WordPress theme structure;
o Understanding of how Elementor works with custom themes;
o Ability to identify technical issues before coding.
Phase 2 – First Installable Package (Beta Version)
Deliverables:
• Installable .zip package for clean WordPress;
• All main pages created and displaying;
• Header, footer, menus, and global styles implemented;
• Basic Elementor integration:
o Page templates created;
o Main sections with Elementor-compatible structure;
• Demo content inserted for correct page visualization;
• Minimum installation instructions.
Client validation:
• Installation on client's own WordPress environment;
• Tests for:
o General functionality;
o Visual match vs. original design;
o Responsiveness (desktop, tablet, mobile);
o Navigation and menus;
o Basic editing of texts and elements in Elementor.
Payment condition:
Phase 2 payment released only when:

If serious structural issues are found (e.g., raw HTML pasted into theme, inability to edit main elements, major Elementor conflicts), the client may:
• Require mandatory fixes before considering the phase complete;
• Or, in case of clear bad faith or technical incompetence, terminate the contract without full payment for this phase.
Phase 3 – Final Version + Documentation + Initial Support
Deliverables:
• Final corrected version based on Phase 2 tests and feedback:
o Layout fixes;
o Bug/error corrections;
o Responsiveness adjustments;
o Performance improvements and code cleanup, if needed.
• Complete documentation:
o Detailed installation instructions;
o Post-installation configuration instructions;
o Theme architecture document:
Pages included;
Elementor templates;
Editable areas;
Critical points and maintenance recommendations.
• Final plugin list with function of each;
• Delivery of all source code and assets created;
• Support for:
o Bug fixes reported during a defined test period (e.g., 7–14 days after final delivery).
Payment condition:
Final payment released only when:
• Final package passes all technical acceptance criteria listed above;
• Documentation is clear and complete;
• Final tests on client's WordPress show no critical errors or structural issues;
• Requested corrections during the test phase have been resolved.
Payment Rules
• Total budget split into 3 milestone payments corresponding to the 3 phases.
