Build a custom Wordpress plugin to read products from Shopify API
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
This is a challenging opportunity but not difficult for those who are used to working with WordPress plugins and Shopify API.
The goal is to build for me a WordPress plugin that is able to pull products from Shopify API and present them on a WordPress website.
Some relevant info:
- the gallery must be responsive for desktop, tablets and mobile
- the website uses Elementor, you must provide a way to render a filterable image gallery through any technique such as shortcode or similar without colliding with Elementor.
- users may search by product name, and the gallery list gets filtered by name
- users may filter the gallery by product category / collection
- each gallery item will present the price, and 3 icons: Preview, Share and Like options.
- the Preview icon will take the user to the product page (a different URL)
- the Like icon will record users votes, which could be in a local database or any suitable technology (JSON, NoSQL, etc)
- the Share icon will trigger the main social media interface (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube)
- the custom plugin to be built should not conflict with the site scripts and styles.
- initially, we can read up to 10 products per category to keep things simple
- some simple animation is expected to give users an indication there's filtering going on, that could be done with any javascript library, preferably jquery
- the plugin must let admins configure the API key and related configurations like choosing the desired product collections / categories to be shown in the image gallery, so when users visit the WordPress site, only selected collections are shown in the gallery
- the plugin must let admins reset the Like counters for gallery items
