# Kadence and Gutenberg Expert for Multilingual Corporate Website Framework

We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer and web designer to create the technical, structural and visual framework for a new version of our corporate website:

Seil-Frey GmbH is a German manufacturer of ropes, nets and technical safety solutions.

The goal is not to copy the existing website, but to create a modern, fast, responsive and maintainable WordPress foundation that preserves the recognizable Seil-Frey identity while improving design, structure, performance and usability.

## Main project scope

The freelancer will create the complete technical and design framework, including:

* WordPress and Kadence setup
* Kadence Child Theme
* global colors, typography and spacing
* clean CSS architecture
* reusable Gutenberg patterns
* selected Kadence Blocks where useful
* responsive navigation, header and footer
* hero sections
* galleries
* image-and-text sections
* tables
* buttons
* contact and download sections
* multilingual infrastructure
* Yoast SEO setup
* performance optimization
* documentation and handover

The freelancer is not expected to enter and format all final website content.

After the framework is completed, the website will be handed over to another person who will add, structure and translate most of the content.

The system must therefore be easy to understand and maintain without programming knowledge.

## Existing website

The current website should be used as the basis for:

* corporate identity and color concept
* navigation structure
* page types
* representative content
* existing URLs and SEO structure

The freelancer should analyze the website and propose a clearer and more modern structure.

Enough representative content should be transferred to create complete sample pages and reusable templates. The remaining content will later be entered by the content editor.

Please quote separately for:

1. creation of the complete framework and sample pages
2. optional transfer of additional existing content

## Technical approach

The website should be built with:

* WordPress Gutenberg
* Kadence Theme
* Kadence Child Theme

* carefully selected Kadence Blocks

* global design settings

We do not want:

Kadence Blocks should be used sparingly and only where they provide a clear benefit.

## Code and CSS quality

Code quality is a central requirement.

The website must include:

* maintainable CSS

* minimal inline styling
* minimal CSS duplication
* no unnecessary JavaScript
* no unused libraries
* no excessive DOM nesting
* clean child-theme structure
* fully responsive layouts

The CSS structure and naming system must be documented.

The design should be:

The color concept should be based on the existing Seil-Frey website.

## Reusable components

The freelancer should create reusable blocks, patterns or templates for:

* desktop and mobile navigation
* header and footer
* hero section
* page introduction
* image gallery
* text with image
* image with text
* product and service sections
* technical information sections
* responsive tables
* call-to-action sections
* contact sections
* download sections
* buttons
* content columns
* references or project sections

These elements must be reusable without copying complex structures or writing new custom code.

## Responsive design

All elements must work correctly on desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile.

Navigation, galleries, tables, columns, images, buttons and text sections must be adapted intelligently for smaller screens.

## Performance

The website must be optimized for speed and good Core Web Vitals.

This includes:

* optimized images
* modern image formats where suitable
* responsive images
* lazy loading
* reduced CSS and JavaScript
* minimal plugin usage
* locally hosted fonts
* no unnecessary external scripts
* clean HTML structure
* caching preparation

The website should be tested on desktop and mobile.

## Multilingual system with AI-assisted translation

The freelancer must recommend and configure a professional multilingual solution that supports AI-assisted translation.

Possible solutions include:

* WPML with automatic translation
* TranslatePress with automatic translation
* Polylang with a suitable AI workflow
* another professional solution

The system should support:

* multiple languages
* translated pages, posts and menus
* translated reusable blocks
* translated SEO titles and descriptions
* translated image descriptions
* correct language URLs
* hreflang
* additional languages in the future
* AI-generated draft translations
* manual review and correction
* human approval before publication

Preferred workflow:

1. create or update the source-language page
2. generate a draft translation using AI
3. review and correct the translation
4. approve and publish it

The freelancer must explain:

* recommended multilingual tool
* AI translation provider
* expected ongoing costs
* where translations are stored
* whether translations remain editable
* how source-content changes are handled
* how SEO metadata is translated
* which external services receive content
* how GDPR requirements are considered

All licenses, accounts and translation credits must be owned by Seil-Frey GmbH.

## Yoast SEO

Install and configure Yoast SEO, including:

* titles and meta descriptions
* XML sitemap
* robots settings
* canonical URLs
* multilingual SEO compatibility
* breadcrumbs if used
* structured data basics
* noindex rules
* preservation of existing URLs where reasonable
* 301 redirects where URLs change

## GDPR and privacy

The website must be suitable for German and European data-protection requirements.

Important requirements:

* locally hosted fonts
* no external Google Fonts
* no Google Analytics
* no unnecessary tracking
* no unnecessary external connections
* privacy-friendly external content
* privacy-compliant contact forms
* documentation of external requests and services

## Handover

After completion, the framework will be handed over to an internal content editor.

The freelancer must provide:

* explanation of Kadence and global design settings
* explanation of CSS classes
* explanation of reusable patterns
* instructions for creating pages
* instructions for images, galleries and tables
* instructions for translations and AI translation
* instructions for SEO metadata

At least one recorded online training session must be included.

As part of final acceptance, the content editor should be able to create a page, use the prepared patterns and generate an AI-assisted translation.

Any usability problems found during this test must be corrected before acceptance.

The work should be completed in a staging environment.

## Ownership

The freelancer must not leave personal license keys, inaccessible accounts, hidden fees, undocumented code or permanent technical dependencies.

* documentation of the CSS classes used

The quality and maintainability of this test task will be used to select the freelancer.
