Briefing – WooCommerce Customization and Final Adjustments
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR

We expect a realistic estimate for both time and cost. We are not interested in prolonged negotiations or vague offers. Thank you.
Our WooCommerce store is approximately 90% complete. We now require a developer to finalize the remaining features and fix some minor issues. Below you will find all required tasks described in detail. Please follow the instructions exactly. If something is unclear, ask before you begin. Do not make assumptions.
1. Catalog Mode (Enquiry-Only Checkout)
Goal: The website should operate as a product catalog, not a regular online store.
Requirements:
Customers should not be able to purchase products.
Instead of the normal checkout, users should fill out a request form after adding products to their cart.
The form should be sent via email to the site admin.
The cart should still be used for collecting selected items.
Optional: Add a note that clarifies “This is a product inquiry, not a purchase.”
Notes:
This can be achieved via a plugin or custom development. We are open to either, as long as the user experience is clean and simple.
Make sure this feature works on both desktop and mobile.
2. Upload Function (Checkout & Product Page)
Goal: Allow users to upload image files during the inquiry process.
Requirements:
Add a file upload field (for image files) in the checkout/request form.
Allow multiple files (optional, but preferred).
File type validation (JPG, PNG, PDF).
Optional: Add the same upload field to the product detail page, so the user can upload files before adding the product to the cart.
Notes:
Make sure the uploaded files are attached to the email sent via the inquiry form.
Upload should work on all modern browsers and mobile devices.
Clear error messages if upload fails or wrong file type is used.
3. Filter Function for Archive Pages (Category/Tag Pages)
Goal: Improve product navigation by adding user-friendly filters.
Requirements:
Add a dropdown filter for main product categories (top-level categories only).
Add a dropdown or checkbox list for product tags.
Add a color filter, but display color options as small colored tiles/swatches (not as text). There are many color options, so this design is essential.
Technical Notes:
Filters must work on archive pages, including category and tag overview pages.
Filters must work in combination (e.g. filter by category and color).
Should not require page reloads if possible (AJAX filtering preferred).
Filtering must work with the current theme and not break existing layout/design.
4. Debugging (Minor Fixes)
Goal: Solve remaining small bugs or display issues.
Scope:
These are minor issues only (e.g., layout glitches, responsiveness, small functional problems).
Any larger issues or new feature requests will be commissioned separately.
Requirements:
Check for JavaScript errors, layout bugs, plugin conflicts.
Clean up console errors if present.
Make sure the entire frontend works smoothly across all modern browsers and screen sizes.
General Expectations
All changes must be made on a staging environment first (we will provide access or you may set up your own).
Clean and documented code is expected, especially for custom solutions.
The final site must work smoothly on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Please test everything carefully before delivery.
Communication must be clear and professional.
We prefer working with someone who proactively checks the quality of their work.
