WordPress Plugin Audit and Site Optimization

Job ID: 39902262

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I need an experienced WordPress specialist to do an audit of site plugins. The site runs on genesis framework and sits on Rocket.net but it relies of a great many plugins, some of which may be redundant. My top priority is pure speed, and the path to it starts with trimming this bloat without sacrificing visual design or functionality.

Here is what has to happen:

• Audit every plugin, remove anything the site isn't actually using, and hard-code lightweight stuff into the theme when a tiny plugin is doing a simple job. (there's about 700 kb of unused jss and js)
• Heavy images are being served on mobile. Ensure lightweight optimized next gen images are served here too.
• Run a concise on-site SEO sweep: tidy up titles, rename images sensibly, add missing meta descriptions, alt descriptions and fix any glaring best-practice violations you spot. (Semrush gives a quick overview of issues)
• When you are finished, deliver a brief but clear report listing every plugin removed, and SEO Changes.

There’s a performance bonus for anyone who can cut the dead weight significantly and demonstrate measurable gains. If this sounds like your kind of optimisation challenge, I’m ready to get started.
