Wordpress theme to another theme

Hi.

I have a Wordpress site with the Soledad theme. I want to have it changed to GeneratePress so I can use Wordpress blocks.

I also want to add PostX to pull in my blog posts, and then I’ll probably be able to delete quite a few of the existing plugins ( they are also outdated)

So, I would need the following done:

1. Backup my current site (just in case)

2. Set up a staging site (a copy of my existing website). Do the theme switch and all updating on the staging site instead of my live site.

3. Switch to GeneratePress theme

4. Add PostX plugin (I might need to buy the premium plugin)

5. Go through my pages and posts and update them accordingly, so they look similar to what I had.

IMPORTANT - The best way to do this is to use a staging site and do the work there. Then, when everything looks good, they can replace your existing site with the updated theme and version. That way, my site will stay live, and no one will see the work in progress.

If they have questions, I can answer all questions.

Setting up the staging site. I have space on my computer or I have another dedicated server with a lot of space on it.

Thanks!

Risa
