WordPress Blog Layout & Training
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’ve set up a WordPress site but I’m stuck turning it into the clean, traditional blog I picture. My biggest hurdle is customizing the overall layout—moving blocks around, tweaking headers and footers, setting up reusable templates—without breaking anything.
Here’s what I need:
• A classic, scroll-friendly blog design with a prominent featured-posts area at the top and a tidy sidebar for widgets such as recent posts, categories, and search.
• Guidance while you build: short live screenshare sessions (or a recorded walkthrough if you prefer) that show exactly how you’re adjusting themes, child-theme CSS, and the block or classic editor so I can replicate changes later.
• Quick pointers on best practices—image sizing, typography choices, and any lightweight plugins you rely on—to keep the site fast and maintainable.
I’m happy with a standard, widely supported theme or a well-coded custom child theme, as long as I can maintain it myself afterward. By project end I should feel comfortable adding new posts, swapping items in the featured section, and tweaking the sidebar layout without calling for help each time.
