Personal WordPress Blog Setup

I’m ready to turn my writing into a living, breathing WordPress site and need an experienced developer to get everything in place so I can focus on publishing.

The look: I prefer a warm Personal style—nothing that feels like a news-magazine and not starkly minimalist. Think clean typography, spacious margins, and room for large feature images that invite readers in.

The structure: Please create the core pages I’ll need—About Me, Contact, a dedicated Books page for current and future titles, and a Wellness section where I’ll post lifestyle pieces. Each page should follow the same visual language but allow for unique header images or accent colors.

The content mix: The blog has to handle regular text posts, high-resolution images, and the occasional embedded video without slowing down. Responsive layouts and good media handling are essential.

Deliverables
• WordPress installed on my hosting with a child theme or custom theme matching the Personal aesthetic
• All four pages set up with placeholder copy I can swap out easily in Gutenberg
• Blog index ready for first post, complete with categories and tags
• Essential plugins configured (SEO, backups, security, image optimization)
• Clear, one-page hand-off guide so I can publish confidently on day one
