Minimalist WordPress Blog Theme

I’m setting up a personal blog that will revolve around text-based articles and I want the reading experience to be clean, distraction-free, and lightning fast. The task is to create (or adapt) a WordPress theme that feels minimalistic and uncluttered while still letting headlines, typography, and white-space shine.

The essentials
• Native Gutenberg compatibility so I can format long-form posts without extra builders
• Responsive layout that keeps the same pared-down look on mobile, tablet, and desktop
• Lightweight code—no bulky frameworks; target core web vitals in the green
• Simple but flexible typography controls (Google Fonts is fine) and an easy way to adjust color accents from the Customizer
• Built-in support for feature images and a tidy archive/search template

Deliverable
A ready-to-install theme folder, plus a quick read-me detailing any custom options you’ve added and where to find them in the dashboard. If you’re modifying an existing open-source base, include attribution notes to stay GPL-compliant.

Once the theme is uploaded and activated on my staging site without errors, and the demo content displays exactly as outlined above, the job is done.
