Build a turnkey "Multi-generational" Family Website using an existing WordPress template
Budget: $250 – $500 USD
We are looking for a turnkey WordPress solution for a large, generational family blog or website.
This website/blog should allow a large multi-generational family to decide who in their family has login privileges. Each branch of the family tree would be allowed to upload family-related pictures and create/post memorable stories about their children, siblings, parents, grandparents, and family friends. There should be a calendar of both one-time events and perpetual events (births, deaths, etc.). Email and/or SMS messaging of events is an important aspect of this site.
By turnkey, we mean you will be expected to locate perhaps as many as 10 WordPress templates for me to choose from that have the elements already built into the theme or at least, have a simple plug-in option.
Self-hosting is NOT an option. Instead, we are looking for a hosting service that just keeps things “purring” around the clock with no technical requirements needed on our end. This host would need to include yearly SSL updates with their service.
The hope of having this site is to keep the family engaged and aware of both good and bad news among family members.
You will need good “English” communication skills and be able to make yourself available for Zoom consultations when necessary. You would have only one (1) English-speaking point of contact.
We already have obtained the domain name and are ready to begin.
